Year 5 Reading Comprehension Pack

Overview

A pack of 8 reading comprehension sets. This pack includes both fiction and non-fiction texts. Each set contains a reading passage, comprehension questions, and an answer sheet. Designed for students in Year 5.

Learning Objectives

• Develop reading comprehension skills through a variety of text types.
• Answer different question types, including literal (right there), think and search, inferential (on my own), and evaluative questions.
• Build critical thinking skills by analysing and interpreting texts.

How the Activity Works

Students read passages and respond to a range of comprehension questions that assess their understanding of the text and their analytical skills. The questions encourage students to locate explicit information, make inferences, and form reasoned opinions about the text. The included answer sheets support self-assessment and guided learning. The reading comprehension pack is perfect for reading rotations and other independent reading activities.
