Overview:

A reading strategy worksheet for upper years students designed to help them identify the main idea and supporting details of a text. Students will read That's Life and work out the main idea, as well as three supporting details that back it up.

How the Activity Works:

Students will read the passage That's Life and determine the main idea of the text. After identifying the main idea, students will extract three supporting details from the passage that explain or elaborate on the main idea. This activity helps strengthen their ability to read for comprehension and build connections between key points in a text.
