Overview:

A planets-themed word jumble for middle and upper years students, where students unjumble planet-related words and then crack the code to reveal a joke. Designed for middle and upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

Develop spelling and problem-solving skills by unjumbling planet-related words.
Improve knowledge about the planets in our solar system and their unique features.
Enhance logical thinking and code-cracking skills.

How the Activity Works:

Students will begin by unjumbling a series of planet-related words, such as Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. After correctly unscrambling each word, they will use the answers to crack a code that reveals a joke. This activity helps students practise spelling and decoding skills.
