EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

This activity provides a map of Europe with country borders but no labels. It is designed to help students identify the countries and learn about the geography of Europe. Suitable for middle and upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and label the countries of Europe.
  • Develop map-reading and geographical skills.
  • Enhance knowledge of Europe's countries and their locations.

How the Activity Works:

Students are given an unlabelled map of Europe, showing only the borders of the countries. Their task is to label each country in the correct location. Additional activities could include:

  • Researching and adding key facts about each country (e.g., capital cities, languages spoken, historical landmarks).
  • Colouring each country in a different shade to visually distinguish them.
  • Learning about notable geographical features of Europe, such as the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea, or the Danube River.

This activity helps students practise map-reading skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the countries and regions that make up Europe.
