Overview:
A cut-and-paste activity where students arrange the steps for making applesauce in the correct order. Designed for early and middle years students to practise sequencing a simple recipe.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the correct sequence of steps in making applesauce.
  • Develop sequencing skills by arranging recipe steps logically.
  • Reinforce the process of cooking and following instructions.

How the Activity Works:

Students are given a set of sentences with pictures that show the steps for making applesauce. They will cut out the pieces and arrange them in the correct order, from preparing the apples to enjoying the finished applesauce. After completing the sequence, students can discuss each step in the recipe and the process of turning apples into applesauce. This hands-on activity promotes sequencing skills and teaches students about simple cooking processes.
