Blank Fact Family Houses
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
A set of part-part-whole models to help students consolidate the link between multiplication and division. Students write in their own factors and products and then write out the matching fact families. Designed for students in year 3 and year 4.
Learning Objectives:
- Consolidate the relationship between multiplication and division using part-part-whole models.
- Practise writing factors and products within fact families.
- Reinforce the understanding of inverse operations through matching fact families.
How the Activity Works:
Students are given blank part-part-whole models and asked to write their own factors and products. They then complete the corresponding fact families by writing the related multiplication and division equations. This activity helps students visualise and reinforce the inverse relationship between multiplication and division while improving their problem-solving skills.
