How the Activity Works:

Students use the Hamburger Persuasive Paragraph Template to structure their persuasive writing. The template encourages them to include the key components of a persuasive paragraph, similar to how a hamburger has layers.

  1. Topic Sentence (Top Bun):
Start with a clear topic sentence that introduces the main point of the paragraph.
  2. Supporting Sentences (Filling):
Provide at least two supporting sentences that explain and support the topic sentence with facts and examples.
  3. Concluding Sentence (Bottom Bun):
End the paragraph with a concluding sentence that reinforces the main point and wraps up the argument.

This template helps students focus on creating well-structured persuasive paragraphs. It ensures that each paragraph presents a clear idea and is supported with strong reasoning and evidence.
