Overview:

Shape hunt! Students identify and colour all the rectangles among a mix of other 2D shapes. Designed for early years students.

Learning Objectives:

Recognise and differentiate rectangles from other 2D shapes.
Develop visual discrimination and shape recognition skills.
Practise fine motor skills through colouring.

How the Activity Works:

Students examine a collection of various 2D shapes and find all the rectangles. Once identified, they colour in the rectangles while leaving the other shapes uncoloured. This activity helps reinforce an understanding of rectangles and their properties in an engaging way.
