Moving Around a 100 Board (2)

EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
A worksheet designed to strengthen students' understanding of number patterns and relationships by filling in missing numbers on a hundred board. Designed for years 3 and 4.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise and apply number patterns on a hundred board.
- Use place value knowledge to determine missing numbers.
- Develop fluency in adding and subtracting by 1 and 10.
- Improve problem-solving skills through logical number placement.
How the Activity Works:
Students are presented with a full hundred board that has various numbers blanked out. Using their understanding of number patterns, they determine and fill in the missing numbers by applying the rules of the hundred board: moving up subtracts 10, moving down adds 10, moving left subtracts 1, and moving right adds 1. This activity reinforces number fluency, strengthens place value understanding, and builds confidence in working with number sequences.
