My Safety Network
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
An activity where students decorate a flower to show 5 trusted adults in their safety network. Suitable for early and middle years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify trusted adults who can provide help and support.
- Understand the importance of having a safety network.
- Promote emotional security and encourage communication.
How the Activity Works:
Students decorate each petal of the flower template with the name or picture a trusted adult in their safety network (e.g., family members, teachers). They can colour and personalise the flower to reflect their own support system. This activity helps students recognise the importance of having trusted adults to turn to when feeling unsafe or uncomfortable.
