Ordering Days of the Week: Animals
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
The worksheet involves cutting and pasting the days of the week into the correct order, with each day featuring an alliterative animal to colour in (e.g. Tuesday – Tiger, Monday – Monkey, Friday – Fox). Designed for early years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise and recall the days of the week in the correct order.
- Enhance vocabulary and comprehension through alliteration.
- Develop fine motor skills through cutting, pasting and colouring.
How the Activity Works:
The worksheet presents the days of the week with corresponding animals that start with the same letter (alliteration). Students cut out the days and paste them in the correct order. Each day is paired with an animal (e.g. Monday – Monkey, Tuesday – Tiger, Friday – Fox), which students then colour in. This activity helps reinforce the order of the days while encouraging creative colouring and strengthening both sequencing and fine motor skills.
