Overview:

Students sort a set of 2-digit numbers according to their tens place by writing them on the petals of the correct flowers. Designed for students in years 1 and 2.

How the Activity Works:

Students are given a set of 2-digit numbers and must sort them by writing each number on the petal of the flower that corresponds to its tens place. For example, the number 25 goes on the '20' flower, while the number 51 goes on the '50' flower. This activity helps students strengthen their understanding of place value by grouping numbers based on their tens place.
