Push or Pull? Circle
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
A worksheet where students circle ‘push’, ‘pull’, or ‘both’ to identify the type of force in each picture. Designed for students in years 3 and 4.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand and identify push and pull forces.
- Learn to distinguish between actions involving one or both types of force.
- Strengthen comprehension of force concepts through visual recognition.
How the Activity Works:
Students are provided with a series of pictures depicting various actions, such as someone pushing a wheelbarrow or pulling a rope. For each picture, they are asked to circle ‘push’, ‘pull’, or ‘both’ to identify the type of force being applied. In cases where both forces are involved, they will circle ‘both’. This activity reinforces the concepts of push and pull forces and helps students recognise how these forces are used in everyday life. By practising with visual examples, students can develop a stronger understanding of how forces work in different scenarios.
