Seasons & Description Match

EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

Students match each season—summer, autumn, winter and spring—to its correct description by cutting and pasting. Designed for early and middle years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key characteristics of summer, autumn, winter, and spring.
  • Develop an understanding of seasonal changes and their effects.
  • Practise fine motor skills through cutting and pasting.

How the Activity Works:

Students are provided with four season labels—summer, autumn, winter and spring—along with a set of descriptive phrases such as "Days begin to shorten" and "Some trees lose leaves." They cut out the descriptions and paste them under the correct season. This hands-on activity helps reinforce students' understanding of seasonal patterns and changes in an engaging and interactive way.
