Playdough Recipe Jumble

Overview:

A cut and paste activity where students put a jumbled playdough recipe back in the correct order. Designed for students in years 2 and 3.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop sequencing skills by arranging recipe steps in the correct order.
• Identify and categorise different sections of a recipe (title, ingredients, steps, equipment, etc.).
• Strengthen comprehension and procedural writing skills.

How the Activity Works:

Students are presented with a playdough recipe that has been jumbled, including its title, ingredients, equipment, and step-by-step instructions. They cut out the different sections and paste them in the correct order. This activity helps reinforce understanding of sequencing and recipe structure in a fun, interactive way.
