Butterfly Life Cycle: Build

Overview:

A cut and paste activity where students build the life cycle of a butterfly by arranging the pieces in the correct order. Designed for early and middle years students.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the stages of a butterfly’s life cycle.
• Identify and arrange key stages such as egg, caterpillar (larva), pupa (chrysalis), and adult (butterfly).
• Develop a visual understanding of how butterflies grow and transform.

How the Activity Works:

Students cut out the pieces representing different stages of a butterfly’s life cycle and then paste them in the correct order on a sheet. This hands-on activity allows students to visually build the life cycle, reinforcing their understanding of the transformation process in butterflies.
