Overview:

This activity involves reading a passage about the seasons in Australia, focusing on the differences between summer and winter. Students will use a Venn diagram to compare the two seasons, enhancing their understanding of seasonal changes in the Australian context. Designed students in years 3 and 4.

How the Activity Works:

Students will read a passage about summer and winter in Australia, paying attention to the unique features of each season as well as their similarities. Using the Venn diagram, students will record the differences between summer and winter, while the overlapping section in the middle will be used to list the features both seasons share. This helps students develop their ability to compare and contrast while also visually organising information in a structured way.
