Overview:

This activity involves reading a passage about lions and tigers and comparing the two animals. Students will use a Venn diagram to record the similarities and differences between the two, helping them develop critical thinking and comprehension skills through comparison. Designed for early years students.

How the Activity Works:

Students will read the passage about lions and tigers, focusing on key facts and characteristics. They will then use a Venn diagram to record the similarities and differences between the two animals. The left circle of the diagram will be used to list characteristics unique to lions, the right circle for those unique to tigers, and the overlapping section in the middle will include the traits they share. This activity encourages students to think critically about the details provided and to organise their ideas in a visual way.
