An activity where students identify hyperbole in sentences and explain the exaggerated meaning behind them. Designed for middle years students.

How the Activity Works:

Students are provided with sentences containing examples of hyperbole. They must underline the hyperbole in each sentence and then write an explanation of what the author is trying to convey through the exaggeration. Afterward, students are tasked with creating their own sentences using hyperbole to express specific ideas. This activity helps reinforce both the concept and usage of hyperbole in writing.
