Drawing Objects in the Sky

EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

A drawing activity where students create pictures to match each of the given objects in the sky, including a rainbow, stars, moon, sun, and planets. Designed for early years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify common objects in the sky, such as rainbows, stars, and planets.
  • Develop drawing and creativity skills by illustrating these objects.
  • Enhance understanding of the natural world by recognising these sky features.

How the Activity Works:

Students are provided with a list of objects commonly found in the sky, including a rainbow, stars, moon, sun and planets. They draw pictures that represent each of these objects. After completing their drawings, students can colour a picture of a nightscape to bring it to life. This task helps students improve their drawing skills while learning to identify key objects in the sky.
