Overview:
In this language, grammar and comprehension set, students read the non-fiction text ‘Water Safety’ and then complete a number of tasks related to the text. Designed for Year 3 students.
Learning Objectives:
- Enhance grammar and language skills in context.
- Develop the ability to identify key details (literal), make inferences and evaluate content.
- Enhance understanding of non-fiction texts.
How the Activity Works:
A Year 3 reading comprehension and grammar set about how to stay safe in the water. Students read the passage and answer a series of comprehension questions designed to assess their comprehension and grammar and language knowledge. These questions help students engage with the text, think critically, and deepen their comprehension skills. This activity is ideal for reading rotations or literacy lessons aimed at developing comprehension skills.
