Simile Poem Worksheet: ‘My Family’

A worksheet focused on similes, using the poem ‘My Family’. Designed for year 4 and year 5 students.

How the Activity Works:

Students read the poem ‘My Family’ and search for each simile used. For each simile, they list the two things being compared. After identifying the similes, students are encouraged to draw a picture that represents one of the comparisons. Finally, they create their own similes to describe people in their family, using "like" or "as" for comparison.
