What’s in the Sky? Draw

EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

A drawing activity where students complete a nightscape scene by adding objects typically found in the sky, such as stars, the moon, and planets. Designed for early years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and recognise objects in the night sky, such as stars, the moon, and planets.
  • Practice drawing and creativity by adding these elements to a nightscape.
  • Enhance understanding of the natural world and its night-time features.

How the Activity Works:

Students are given a blank nightscape scene and are asked to draw objects that belong in the sky, such as stars, the moon, planets, and any other features they might see in the night sky. Once the drawing is complete, students can colour the scene to bring it to life. This activity encourages creativity while also helping students familiarise themselves with the wonders of the night sky.
