Planets of the Solar System Booklet

Overview:

A folding booklet activity all about the planets of the solar system. Students will cut out information sheets and planets, then glue them in the correct spaces to complete the booklet. Designed for middle years students.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify and order the planets of the solar system.
• Understand key facts about each planet.
• Develop fine motor skills and organisation through cutting and pasting activities.

How the Activity Works:

Students fold the booklet and cut out the provided information sheets and planets. They then glue the information sheets in the correct spaces for each planet, matching the key facts to their corresponding planet. The planets are also cut out and glued into their correct order in the solar system. Once all pages are completed, students staple the booklet together. This hands-on activity helps reinforce students' knowledge of the planets and their positions in the solar system.
