Overview:

A sun safety-themed word jumble for middle and upper years students, where students unjumble sun safety-related words and then crack the code to reveal a joke. Designed for middle and upper years students.

• Improve knowledge of sun safety practices and the importance of protecting skin from harmful UV rays.

How the Activity Works:

Students will begin by unjumbling a series of sun safety-related words, such as sunscreen, slip, slop, slap, and sunglasses. After correctly unscrambling each word, they will use the answers to crack a code that reveals a joke. This activity encourages students to practise their spelling and decoding skills while reinforcing the importance of staying safe in the sun.
