Overview:
This cut-and-paste activity challenges students to match various food items to their correct food groups, building a healthy plate. Designed for middle and upper years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and categorise foods into the five main food groups.
- Understand the components of a balanced diet.
How the Activity Works:
Students are provided with a template of a plate divided into five sections, each labelled with a food group: fruits, dairy, protein, grains, and vegetables. They cut out images of different food items and paste them into the appropriate sections of the plate.
