Overview:

A worksheet focused on analysing advertisements to identify the use of pathos, logos, and ethos in persuasion. Includes one advertisement for a new mobile phone and another for a soccer camp. Designed for students in year 5 and year 6.

How the Activity Works:

Students examine two advertisements, one promoting a new mobile phone and the other advertising a soccer camp. For each ad, they determine which persuasive technique/s have been used—pathos, logos, or ethos—and provide evidence to support their analysis. They explain how each technique appeals to the target audience.
