How the Activity Works:
Students choose one of the ships from the First Fleet (e.g. HMS Sirius, Charlotte, Lady Penrhyn) to research. Students add details about their ship, including ship name, ship’s master, number of crew, number of convicts and other interesting facts. This activity helps students focus on one specific ship while enhancing their research and critical thinking skills. After completing the worksheet, students can present their findings to the class or use them as part of a larger First Fleet project.
