Overview:

An engaging game that challenges players to apply their knowledge of place value to achieve four counters in a row. Suitable for early and middle years students. Laminate for a long-lasting resource.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and match place values in 4-digit numbers.
  • Strengthen number recognition and place value understanding.
  • Develop strategic thinking to achieve four counters in a row.

How the Activity Works:

Players take turns rolling the dice to move around the outer squares of the board. Each square contains a 4-digit number. If a player finds a corresponding number or place value in the centre board, they place a counter on it. The goal is to strategically align four counters in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). The first player to achieve this wins the game.
