Time Attack Game: O’clock & Half Past

Overview:
A fast-paced game that helps students practise reading o’clock and half-past times on both analogue and digital clocks. Players roll dice, land on a clock face, and match it to the digital time on the game board. The first player to place three counters in a row wins. Designed for early to middle years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Read and recognise times on analogue clocks.
- Match analogue times to digital times.
- Develop spatial awareness and counting skills through dice rolls and game movement.
How the Activity Works:
Two players take turns rolling dice and moving around the outer squares of the game board. When a player lands on an analogue clock face, they read the time displayed and cover the matching digital time on the board with a counter. The goal is to be the first player to place three counters in a row, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. To extend the game's longevity, laminate the game board for repeated use.
