Nouns, Verbs & Adjectives Race Game

Overview:

This race game helps students practise identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Players roll a die and move along the board based on the word type that corresponds to the number rolled. Designed for students in years 2 and 3.

How the Activity Works:

Students take turns rolling the die. If the number rolled corresponds to a noun, they move to a space with a noun; if it matches a verb, they move to a verb space; and if it matches an adjective, they move to an adjective space. The objective is to reach the finish flag, while reinforcing word knowledge in a fun, engaging way. This game is perfect for use in literacy rotations, allowing students to reinforce their understanding of parts of speech in a playful setting.
