Overview:

A matching activity where students pair cards to demonstrate cause and effect relationships. Designed for students in year 3 and year 4.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognise cause and effect relationships in various scenarios.
  • Improve reading comprehension and logical thinking skills.
  • Develop critical thinking by identifying connections between events and outcomes.

How the Activity Works:

Students are provided with a set of cards, each labelled as either a cause or an effect. They match each cause card to its corresponding effect card (e.g., "The boy falls off his bike" matches with "He hurts his leg"). The set includes 11 cause and effect pairs. This activity is ideal for developing comprehension and analytical skills in a reading rotation setting.
