Overview:

This set of 9 editing task cards provides students with the opportunity to identify and correct errors in full stops, capital letters, question marks and spelling. Designed for students in year 3 and year 4.

• Recognise and correct errors in punctuation and spelling.
• Apply rules of grammar, including proper use of capital letters and question marks.
• Develop editing skills and attention to detail.

How the Activity Works:

Each card features a passage of text with several errors, and students are tasked with editing the passage to correct the mistakes. A checklist is provided to guide students through the process and ensure they find all the errors. The set includes 9 task cards, each with a different passage to edit, and an answer sheet to help students check their work. This activity is ideal for literacy rotations, offering students an engaging way to practise their editing skills.
