Overview:

A fun board game that helps students consolidate their understanding of place value with 4-digit numbers. Designed for middle years students, the game combines strategy with skill. Laminate for a long-lasting resource.

Learning Objectives:

Identify and work with the place value of digits in 4-digit numbers.
Practise solving place value problems in an engaging format.
Develop confidence in number recognition and reasoning.

How the Activity Works:

Players take turns drawing a Number Card and rolling the dice to move around the board. Each square presents a place value question related to 4-digit numbers. If a player answers correctly, they remain in that square; if not, they must return to their previous position. The first player to guide the penguin to its home is the winner.
