Overview:

This self-checking L-shape puzzle set challenges students to categorise words as nouns, verbs, or adjectives based on pictures. Designed for students in year 2.

Learning Objectives:

Identify and classify nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
Strengthen comprehension of word types through visual association.
Develop problem-solving skills by matching words to corresponding images.

How the Activity Works:

The puzzle set consists of 4 individual puzzles, each featuring a large L-shaped piece with an image (e.g., a dinosaur) and three smaller pieces representing different word types (noun, verb, and adjective). Students must match the correct noun, verb, and adjective to the image on the L-shaped piece. For example, for the bee, students would match "dinosaur" (noun), "walk" (verb), and "large" (adjective).
