Overview:

This cut-and-paste activity challenges students to match decimal representations to fractions, visual models, and words. Designed for middle and upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

How the Activity Works:

In this puzzle activity, students are given a series of decimal representations (e.g., 36/100, 0.36, thirty-six hundredths, and 3 tenths + 6 hundredths) and must cut and paste the corresponding pieces to complete the puzzles. Each puzzle includes matching fractions, decimals, visual models, and words. The rainforest theme adds a fun element as students work through each puzzle. This activity reinforces their understanding of decimal place value and the different ways decimals can be represented.
