Multiplication Puzzle Set 3
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
A set of four multiplication puzzles where students cut and paste to match various representations of multiplication. Designed for students in year 3 and year 4.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise different representations of multiplication, such as expressions, arrays, groups, and answers.
- Strengthen understanding of multiplication through visual and hands-on activities.
- Improve problem-solving and fine motor skills by matching the correct representations.
How the Activity Works:
Students are given four puzzles, each consisting of a multiplication expression (e.g. 4x5), an array, groups, repeated addition (e.g. 5+5+5+5), and the answer (e.g. 20). They cut out each piece and match them correctly. This activity reinforces multiplication concepts and allows students to visualise and apply different multiplication representations.
