Students add whole dollar amounts to determine the total cost of purchases and check if shoppers have enough money. Designed for year 2 and 3 students.

How the Activity Works:

Students use the toy shop prices to answer purchasing questions by adding the cost of multiple items and comparing the total to a given budget. For example: Holly has $55. She wants to buy a drum and a train set. Can she afford these items?
