Available only to premium members
EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

The activity is a Uno-style card game designed to help students practise identifying different sentence types—statements, questions, commands, and exclamations. Designed for students in years 3 and 4.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognise and categorise different sentence types.
  • Understand how sentence types influence communication.
  • Develop skills in reading comprehension and sentence structure through interactive play.

How the Activity Works:

Students play a Uno-style card game, where each card features a sentence with one of the four sentence types. Players take turns matching sentence cards based on their type and can challenge each other by identifying the correct category—statement, question, command, or exclamation. The first player to run out of cards wins the game.
