Overview:

A set of worksheets for students to practise identifying and writing different types of sentences: statements, questions, commands, and exclamations. Suitable for early years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognise and distinguish between statements, questions, commands and exclamations.
  • Practise constructing sentences appropriate to different contexts.
  • Develop foundational writing and grammar skills.

How the Activity Works:

On each worksheet, students are given a picture as a stimulus. For each picture, they are tasked with writing a sentence in each of the four types: statement, question, command, and exclamation. This hands-on exercise encourages creativity, reinforces understanding of sentence structures, and supports literacy development.
