Overview:

Students identify the value of underlined digits in 4-digit numbers. Designed for students in years 3 and 4.

Learning Objectives:

Recognise the place value of digits within 4-digit numbers.
Determine and write the value of each underlined digit.
Compare place values to identify the greatest value.

How the Activity Works:

Students examine 4-digit numbers with underlined digits and write the value of each underlined digit. They then determine which underlined digit has the greatest value and represent their answer using a drawing or written explanation.
