Overview:

Students match basic 2D shapes to the composite shapes they form by drawing lines to connect them. Designed for middle and upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

Identify basic 2D shapes within composite shapes.
Understand how shapes can be combined to form new figures.

How the Activity Works:

Students are presented with a series of composite shapes alongside sets of basic 2D shapes. They draw lines to connect each composite shape with the correct set of shapes used to create it. This activity helps students recognise how geometric figures can be combined and supports their understanding of shape composition.
