Create Own 3D Object & Views

Overview:

Students use blocks to create their own 3D object. They then draw the front, top, and side views of the object on the worksheet before completing an isometric drawing to fully represent their creation.

Learning Objectives:

• Develop spatial awareness by constructing a 3D object.
• Identify and draw the different views of a 3D object (front, top, side).
• Understand and complete an isometric drawing to represent a 3D object.

How the Activity Works:

Students begin by using blocks to build a 3D object of their choice. After completing their creation, they use worksheet to draw the front, top and side views of the object. Finally, they complete an isometric drawing to showcase the object from a different angle. This hands-on activity encourages the development of spatial thinking and technical drawing skills.
