Classifying Angles

EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

A simple activity designed to help students classify angles as acute, right, or obtuse based on their size. Designed for students the middle and upper years.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and classify angles as acute, right, or obtuse.
  • Understand the difference between acute, right, and obtuse angles.
  • Develop skills to visually assess and label angles.

How the Activity Works:

Students are provided with a series of angles and are asked to label each one as acute, right, or obtuse. Acute angles are less than 90°, right angles are exactly 90°, and obtuse angles are greater than 90° but less than 180°. This activity reinforces students' understanding of angle sizes and helps them apply this knowledge to accurately classify different angles.
