Overview:

A symmetry drawing activity where students use a grid to complete the other half of a Christmas tree. Designed for students in years 5 and 6.

Learning Objectives:

Recognise and apply the concept of symmetry.
Develop spatial awareness and fine motor skills.
Practise using a grid to accurately replicate a mirrored image.

How the Activity Works:

Students are given a half-drawn Christmas tree on a grid and must complete the other half by reflecting the lines across the line of symmetry. The grid provides structure, helping students maintain accuracy and proportion while reinforcing symmetry skills in a festive context.
