Days of the Week Rainbow (2)
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
Students fill in the days of the week on a rainbow in order, colour it, and complete the sentences: "Yesterday was...", "Today is...", and "Tomorrow will be...". Designed for students in year 1 and year 2.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise and recall the days of the week in the correct order.
- Develop sequencing skills by filling in the correct days.
- Practise sentence structure and understanding of time through daily reflections.
How the Activity Works:
Students are provided with a rainbow worksheet where they write the days of the week in the correct order on the rainbow. Afterward, they colour in the rainbow. Once the colouring is complete, they fill in the sentences, reflecting on the days by completing "Yesterday was...", "Today is...", and "Tomorrow will be...". This activity helps reinforce the concept of days of the week, while also encouraging reflection and sentence writing.
