Estimate & Order Duration of Events (2)

Overview:
This activity helps students estimate and order the duration of various events, from the shortest to the longest. It encourages them to think critically about how long different activities might take and to arrange them accordingly. Designed for early years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Estimate the duration of different events.
- Order events by their estimated duration (shortest to longest).
- Develop a sense of time by comparing everyday activities.
How the Activity Works:
Students are provided with a set of pictures or descriptions of events, such as making a sandwich, telling a joke, or going on a holiday. They are asked to cut out each event and arrange them in order from the shortest to the longest. Before ordering, students will estimate how long each event might take. This activity helps students practice estimating time and comparing the durations of different activities. It also builds their understanding of time in relation to everyday experiences.
