Overview:

An activity designed to help students subtract elapsed times from end times to find the start times. Students will work with times in hour intervals and represent them on both analogue and digital clocks. Designed for early years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Subtract elapsed times from end times to determine start times.
  • Represent start times on both analogue and digital clocks.
  • Develop time calculation skills by working with hour intervals.

How the Activity Works:

Students are presented with end times on analogue clocks and given elapsed times (in hour intervals). They will subtract the elapsed times from the end times to calculate the corresponding start times. Once the start time is determined, students will represent it both on analogue clocks and in digital format. This activity reinforces time subtraction and strengthens students' ability to work with different time formats.
