Probability Event Match: Possible & Impossible
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
A cut-and-paste activity where students match events to the probability terms "Possible" and "Impossible." Designed for students in year 1 and year 2.
Learning Objectives:
- Distinguish between possible and impossible events.
- Develop an understanding of probability through everyday scenarios.
- Practise classifying events based on likelihood.
How the Activity Works:
Students are provided with a range of event scenarios, such as "Someone from class will be away sick tomorrow" and "A monster will walk through the door." They cut out each event and paste it into either the "Possible" or "Impossible" category. This activity provides a practical and engaging way for students to practise identifying and classifying probability events.
