Overview:

Students create composite shapes by combining given 2D shapes in each set. Designed for middle and upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

How the Activity Works:

Students are given sets of 2D shapes, such as one square and two triangles. They use drawing or physical shape/pattern blocks to combine the shapes into a new composite figure. This activity encourages creativity and helps students understand how geometric shapes fit together to form more complex structures.
